My love of working with children started as an assistant teacher for speech and drama and developed while teaching visual arts at a fine arts camp and coaching badminton.  I’ll be honest that I am really just a big kid at heart.  I find ways to have fun even in the professional field of dentistry by re-inventing new ways and modalities to teach oral health.

My formal education began at Queen’s University, where I completed a bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences.  I then graduated from Dalhousie University’s dental school and finally went on to complete a residency program at Sickkids Hospital in Toronto - back to my hometown.  But being curious by nature, I itch to know more about the things I love, especially preventive dentistry, and so the learning never really stops.

When I’m not building a snow fort or playing board games with my 2 enthusiastic and spirited girls, I fill my soul with contemporary dance and will continue to compete as long as I am able!  I also let my creative spirit run free by crafting art that spreads joy.  Below you’ll see “Snakey” the community rock snake in my neighbourhood.  All his body parts have been added by anonymous members of the community.  People often chuckle when they pass by “Snakey” and I am thrilled to be its caretaker.
